Noodletools Guide: Transfer Citation from Database

Citations from Gale

1. Make sure Noodletools is open and you are signed in. 

2. Find an article in a Gale product (Opposing Viewpoints, History in Context, US History in Context and Literature Resource Center).  Click on "Citation Tools" in the upper right hand corner. 

3. Choose "Export" to Noodletools and click "Export."

4. Choose the project folder for the citation to go in then click on "Import."

5. Go back to Noodletools and click on "Sources" on the top of the page to refresh.

Citations from Proquest

1. Make sure Noodletools is open and you are signed in. 

2. Find an article on Proquest or SIRS etc. and then click on "Cite" located on the upper right hand corner of the article.

3. Choose MLA 8th edition and then click "Change."  Copy the citation.

4. Go to Noodletools and click on "Create New Citation."

5. Choose Database and then Original Content in Database.

6. Click on "Copy and Paste a Citation" that is located near the top of the page.

7. Paste the citation into the "Manually-Edited Citation" box then click Save.
